Academy Trials 08/09 season

Dear Players, Parents & Coaches:

Georgia Coast FA will be holding Academy Trials throughout the Georgia Coastal Region in June 2008.

Players who are selected for the season 2008/09 will train Mon-Wed and play their games on Friday night. Training will be in two locations (one local) games will take place on Friday night (one local)

Age groups U13-U18 will be invited for showcase/ District teams from Georgia Coastal soccer clubs.

Players who achieve and expect a higher level of training and play, and would like to train and play with other players of the same standard from the Georgia Coastal Region should attend one of these trials.

Dear Coaches and Managers:

Our first 3 v 3 tournament on the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach is now open for teams to apply.To learn more of this very exciting event, please follow the tournament link on the left.
Coast FA in partnership with the Chambers of Commerce of Myrtle Beach provide this unique opportunity for teams to play in this Challenge Sports National qualifier. The Sun Fun Cup and Myrtle Beach will be the perfect place to play your soccer this summer.

This tournament will be very popular and spaces are limited. Please book your team in early to avoid disappointment. Although the deadline is May 31^st brackets will be closed as and when they become full.

Academy Festivals U8-U12 Players

More Soccer, Less travel, "Teams split referee fees"

Dear Soccer Colleagues:

Academy festivals are structured to provide our younger players the opportunity to play in more games over a one day festival and split the referee fees with your opposing team. This helps to keep costs to a minimum while providing two or three games for our players over a one day festival.

Festivals start around 10.00AM and finish around 4.00PM. We arrange at least two games for your team and you only pay the split cost of the referee fee. U8 play 5 v 5 U9-U10’s play 6 v 6 U11-U12’s play 8 v 8

If you have a U12 team that wishes to play 11 v 11 we can try to arrange this for you. If you would like to have your team participate in one or more of the festivals listed below. Please contact Georgia Coast FA with your intent to play.

We can also arrange for your team to play a home and away game U8-U12 outside of these festival dates under the same refereeing agreement.

April 13th Savannah, Chatham County Soccer Complex (Completed)
April 19th Jesup Soccer Complex (All 3 v 3 Festival) U6-U16 Male & Female
April 26th Myrtle Beach SC (Possible two day event) U8-U12
May 4th Savannah Chatham County Soccer Complex 6-U16
May 10th Jesup Soccer Complex (TDC) U6-U16

Festivals may be staged on some Sunday’s to avoid club conflicts.
All players who play in these festivals must hold US Club Soccer membership cards
